Co-op Advisory Board and Leadership
Soon you will find more info on who runs the group, but for now here is a summary:
First, the co-op is advised of a number of families who help the head family by double checking financial records when needed, building relationships with farmers, ensuring the quality of the various items the group has available, and much more.
CAB members are...
- Members of the Weston A. Price Foundation (www.westonaprice.org) and/or of other similar groups committed to a traditional view of nutrition, disease, and health.
- Show signs of making real changes and progress towards sustainable living and supporting real, local economies, even when it is hard or costly for their families. They don't make excuses but seek change, even if it means they "have less" of our overindulged American junk. They don't just talk about sustainable living, they seek to live sustainably - they compost, they reduce, they reuse and restore.
- Have a desire to help other families and the group continue to expand, grow, and be ever more sustainable, resourceful, and helpful to the Louisville area and beyond.
The current CAB families are the Jair and Allison, Tony and Lisa, John and Jessica, Bernie and Misty, and Kyle and Annie. We hope to add more CAB families soon and we also hope to assign them more specific helping roles as we continue to grow.
The head family does all of the day-to-day work for the group (such as adding content to this site, sorting orders, placing orders, finding new companies and farmers to work with, etc.). They are John and Jessica, who have two small children currently and look forward to adding more as the Lord allows.
We hope this is a helpful intro to those who are helping you and your families make wise decisions in some very important areas of life.
